Meet Shivani Shah
"Architecture is not an act of invention, but of understanding."
Over the years, I have moved away from the idea of design as creation. What interests me more is the act of seeing — observing what already exists, recognising the logic of a structure, and understanding how people relate to the spaces they inhabit and desire to leave behind.
Every project begins with this process of understanding. Not just the site, its history, but just the material and how it is experienced over time.
Founded in 2017: Serene Aesthetics was established to bridge the gap between residential, commercial and institutional and restoration sectors, with over 11 years of experience behind every project.

Words From Those We've Built For
The heritage restoration of our family haveli was handled with a level of care and research we didn’t think possible. They treat it like a responsibility, not a project.
Our office needed to feel calm, not corporate. Every material choice, every sightline was considered. Clients comment on the space before they even sit down.
From the first sketch to the final handover, communication never dropped. We always knew what stage our home was at and why.
They understood that a hospitality space has to work for staff as much as guests. The flow through the pavilion still surprises visitors a year on.
Our showroom needed to photograph well and hold up to daily foot traffic. Two years in, it still looks like day one.
